Often Christmas means proposals, and with a “yes” in hand and a ring on the finger, newly engaged people start thinking about their ceremony and who will be in it, and what role they will play, and how they will be attired. Essentially, planning starts wayyy before the big day. For many, including a beloved pet in the wedding is a no brainier. Of course you want Fido to look as beautiful as everyone else, and luckily it’s an easy DIY endeavor to do so, with either fresh or faux materials.
There is a great video that explains how to make one, so I tackled this project this week using the video as a guide. I chose to use different materials, based on availability, but the beauty of this approach is you can really make your pets collar out of anything. I chose orange-y red roses, yellow mini carnations, yellow achillea, and green euonymus sprigs.
I made this for a dog, but if you have a pet cat, pig, chicken, bunny, etc. who will cooperate, I think you can adapt it easily, just be mindful of the size of your animals collar, and don’t use flowers that are too big, and use caution to select flowers that are not toxic.
Many thanks to my beautiful model Max, and also to my great helper Belen.
