Easter at the National Cathedral: 2016 – A Blaze of Color

This year marks my 10th year volunteering on the Flower Guild at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC and it is as much a pleasure now, as it was all those years ago. I am so grateful for the opportunity to improve, practice, learn and create.

Of all the holidays and events I have helped arrange for, I think Easter at the National Cathedral is far and away one of my favorites! There are always really unique flowers to work with and it pushes me to be more creative than ever before.

Enjoy these pictures of the beautiful arrangementsĀ that were spread all over the Cathedral….. and some of the wonderful volunteers who are in the middle of creating their masterpieces. It is a monumental effort on the part of many volunteers over several days who transfer the raw ingredients into such beauty. Worth a visit, for sure.
